Bowling Social for the Kids7-16-2007

There will be a bowling outing for FEAT children at AMF Rosebowl Lanes at 2217 Goldsmith Lane on Monday, July 16th from 12:30-2:30 PM. All FEAT children of all ages are welcome, siblings too. There will be a reserved area with lanes for our children. Light-weight balls and bumpers on the lanes will be used. At the June bowling session, there was no one except FEAT kids at the bowling alley. Free to families. Call Jodie Steele at 239-7705 for more information.

 
January Meeting1-10-2008

The January Meeting will be on the 10h at 7PM at Highland Presbyterian Church at 1011 Cherokee Rd. The speaker will be Cheryl Lutz, a Homecare Case Manager with KIPDA. She will talk about the new Michelle P. waiver and answer questions on the subject. This program is poised to provide a broader spectrum of community services and provide greater flexibility of services to individuals with mental retardation and developmental disabilities through KyHealth Choices. This is a very important meeting. Every parent with a child with autism should plan to attend.

 
Sibshop Weekend3-1-2008

Don Meyer will conduct a Sibshop Weekend Workshop for parents, grandparents, siblings, and service providers. Saturday will consist of seminars and panel discussions for parents. Sunday will be a mock sibshop training for autism service providers. If you have a sibling ages 8-13 that would like to volunteer for the Sunday portion, please call 239-7705.

 
March Parent Meeting3-13-2008

Nikken Products Rep Pam Dunn, RDH will speak at the March FEAT Parent Meeting. Pam will provide an educational opportuity to create our homes into a Wellness Home. Living in a Wellness GREENhouse environment allows the body to get into PROPER balance. Pam will provide testimonials from parents of Autistic children about the benefits their children have experienced. She will show you how simple it is to make minor changes in a home that will make MAJOR health changes for the entire family. The meeting will take place at Highland Presbyterian Church, 1011 Cherokee Rd.

 
April Parent FEAT Meeting3-31-2008

Due to a scheduling conflict at the church, the April FEAT parent meeting has again been re-scheduled to Monday, March 31st at 7pm at Highland Presbyterian Church, at 1011 Cherokee Rd. We apologize for the change and confusion surrounding this meeting. Trish Gallagher, the Autism Specialist at Jefferson County Public Schools will discuss what autism programs are available at JCPS at this meeting. Please note that there will not be a FEAT meeting on Thursday, April 10th due to spring break.

 
May Parent Meeting5-8-2008

The May Parent Meeting will be Thursday, May 8th at 7PM at Highland Presbyterian Church at 1011 Cherokee Rd. The invited speakers are Laura Ferguson and Beth Lyons of the Home of the Innocents Autism Program.
