Autism Society of Kentuckiana (A.S.K.) (http://www.ask-lou.org)
The Autism Society of Kentuckiana (A.S.K.) holds support and informational meetings for parents on the second Saturday of every month from 10:00 a.m. to noon at the Kentucky School for the Blind (1867 Frankfort Avenue, Louisville).

Carriage House
13100 Magisterial Drive, Suite 200, Louisville, KY 40223. Phone: 502-253-1293. The Carriage House Preschool is owned and operated by the Kentucky Center for the Special Children's Services. The school opened in 1983 with the goal of full inclusion for all children. The program at Carriage House has grown to include a preschool program which has been nationally recognized, in-home developmental intervention, speech therapy, primary level evaluation, primary service coordination, developmental play groups, consultation to local school districts, community workshops and educational program planning with professionals and parents.

First Steps is a statewide early intervention system which provides services to children from birth to age three with developmental disabilities and their families. First Steps is Kentucky's response to the federal initiative called the Infant-Toddler Program (ITP) established by Public Law 99-457 Part C. First Steps offers comprehensive services through coordination with a variety of community agencies and service disciplines. Kentuckiana Children’s Center (KCC) (http://www.kentuckiana.org)
1810 Brownsboro Road, Louisville, KY 40206; Phone: 502 366-5658. KCC provides quality chiropractic health care to children with special needs regardless of their ability to pay for those services. Other services offered include cranial sacral therapy, movement therapy, art therapy and nutritional counseling including the GFCF diet.

Kentucky Autism Training Center (KATC) (http://www.kyautism.org)

The Center places emphasis on providing information and training on intervention strategies that are supported by research as being effective with individuals with autism. In addition, the Center places emphasis on building performance-based program evaluation efforts at all levels of operation.

Weisskopf Center for the Evaluation of Children (WCEC)
University of Louisville, 571 South Floyd Street, Louisville, KY 40202. For referrals, call 502-852-5331. The WCEC, a division of the University of Louisville School of Medicine Department of Pediatrics, was established to help children who have special needs realize their full potential. At the WCEC, children with developmental, learning, and behavioral disorders receive appropriate diagnostic and intervention services. Genetic evaluation and genetic counseling are provided to children and adults who have or who are at risk of having a birth defect or genetic disorder. Referrals to the Center are initiated from a wide range of sources, including physicians, nurses, school systems, health care agencies, and therapists.
