nzaPhotography, LLC is owned and operated in Louisville, Kentucky by me – Nicole Zirnheld Aldridge. I have always had a passion for all forms of art ever since I was little. I have a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Western Kentucky University where I studied Advertising and Graphic Design. I then went on to work professionally as an Art Director and Web Designer for several years before becoming a stay-at-home mother to my three children. I started getting serious about photography after becoming a mom and during my work as a birth doula. My clients liked my work so much that they asked me to photograph their babies.
Photography was a natural extension to my background in design and also allowed me to explore my creativity while still being able to stay home with my young children. I began learning everything I could about the craft and still continue to learn everyday.
I chose to become an autism friendly business because I have worked with many families through the years who have children with ASD and I know how difficult it can be to find someone who will be patient and try to make a connection with their child(ren). I want them to know that they can depend on me to make their photo session a pleasant and stress free experience for the whole family!
When I began photography eight years ago, I was immediately drawn to portraiture. I knew I wanted to delve into sports photography once I was in college, but being able to interact with people and capture the relationship between them is something I’ve always been really passionate about. Since I’ve started photographing, I’ve shot a wide variety of portraiture, from seniors, to weddings, to families and everything in between, my experience covers a wide range of subjects!
