April is Autism Awareness Month

Join us each April as we celebrate National Autism Awareness Month!  April represents an excellent opportunity to promote autism awareness, autism acceptance and autism appreciation.

Vanessa Shae Sheperd, created and designed the autism awareness Gallopalooza Horse which is displayed at Vincenzo’s Italian Restaurant in Louisville, KY.  It was created and painted Sheperd depicting the 1946 Kentucky Derby winner, Assault.

This year we want to go beyond simply promoting autism awareness to encouraging the community and businesses to become partners in the movement toward acceptance and appreciation.

Let’s ensure acceptance and inclusion in schools and communities that results in true appreciation of the unique aspects of all people. We want to get one step closer to a society where those with ASD are truly valued for their unique talents and gifts.
